Q: Can anybody tell me what the lyrics mean in the song "Ball and Biscuit" by The White Stripes?

A: Check out songmeanings.net You get a lot of interpretations there... link below

Q: "The White Stripes - I'm finding it harder to be a gentleman" 6th line in the lyrics - "would" or "wouldn't"
In the song itself you can barely hear that. Every website I check, says something else. The official website says "would" but since so many other websites say "wouldn't" I'm not sure, perhaps it's a typo! Does anybody know the real line, perhaps with some proof? Thanks!

A: It's definitely "would" it wouldn't make sense if it were "wouldn't" "To be a gentleman every day all the manners that I've been taught have slowly died away but if I held the door open for you It would make your day..." After he says his manners have died away, he says "but" which means there's a contrast...if the correct word was "wouldn't" that "but" wouldn't be there...it would "when I held..." or "because when I..." or even "and if I..." Hope that made sense; it's just MY assumption, I could be wrong I suppose. ***Good Luck*** ^_^

Q: song lyrics..i'm going back to arkansas....anybody know it...is it white stripes????

A: Maybe 'Seven Nation Army' by White Stripes..'I'm going to Witchita...'

Q: What Do you think about the white stripes?
For someone who loves bass driven song i sure did fall in love with their music and i think most of it is in their lyrics White Americans, What? Nothing Better To Do? Why Don't You Kick Yourself Out You're An Immigrant Too I like songs that are wierd and stuff that nobody else writes about i hate when people write about the same thing but anyways tell me what u think about them.

A: yes i love em... my fav album is white blood cells, although i like their old stuff rather than their new stuff, icky thump didnt appeal to me as much and i sometimes get bored with it. but, they are a one of a kind, jack - an awesome singer/songwriter and meg - cute on the drums and soft voice. i dont really care about no bass, they sound great anyways

Q: Any ideas for a parody of the White Stripes' Seven Nation Army song?
I am doing a parody assignment on that song and i need ideas on what to make the parody of and what the lyrics would be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A: How about movies and movie theaters? Call it "Seven Dollar Ticket". Talk about how tickets use to be $7 but are now over 10. I'm gonna fight 'em off. Seven dollar ticket's what I used to pay. And now they rip me off. In my wallet every single day. And I'm standing here all by myself, I can't take no one else. Back and forth, in the line Behind a marionette. And the message coming from my hands Says throw me a bone! go on from there. I don't know.

Q: What would you recommend to someone who loves the musical stylings of the White Stripes?
I love this band. I have for many years. I love the simplicity, the lyrics, the funky sound and vibe. I also enjoy BECK And the Racontuers. I am looking for newer bands with a similar sound but maybe I missed some older stuff. HELP!

A: Check out pandora.com You type in the band you like, or song, and they will play some of their music and other bands similar to them. You create your own music stations.

Q: what do these lyrics mean ???!?
Icky Thump The White Stripes lyrics Icky thump Who'da thunk? Sittin drunk on a wagon to Mexico? Ahh well What a chump Well my head got a bump When I hit it on the radio Redhead senorita Looking dead Came and said "Need a bed?" En Espanol I said "Gimme a drink a water, I'm gonna 'sing around the collar' And I don't need a microphone." Icky Thump With a lump in my throat Grabbed my coat And I was freaking I was ready to go! And I swear Besides the hair She had: one white eye, One black (nk) stare Lookin' up Lyin' there. On the stand Near her hand Was a candy cane Black rum, sugar cane Dry ice (and) something strange La la la la la la la La la la la la la la White Americans, what? Nothing better to do? Why don't you kick yourself out You're an immigrant too? Who's using who? What should we do? Well, you can't be a pimp And a prostitue too. Icky thump Handcuffed to a bunk Robbed blind Looked around And there was nobody else Left alone I hit myself with a stone Went home and learned how To clean up after myself. how does it realte to women or a relationship??

A: they mean dont go to mexico and get so drunk that you can get picked up by a hooker, cos all ho's will rob you blind , they in it for the money not the company. if you do you might be unreasonably scared of all mexicans or is that all women? i dunno

Q: is the song "icky thump" by the White Stripes a cover?
I was listening to the song "icky thump" by the White Stripes with my dad the other day and he said the instrumentals sounded like that of another song, but he couldn't think of which one. I'm pretty sure the lyrics are original, but what about the instrumentals? Are the instrumentals a cover and if so, what song is it a cover of?

A: It is not a cover of any song. It has original lyrics and backround music. Maybe it sounds like another song but it was not meant to be. Hope I helped!

Q: Untangle The White Stripes?
Two songs by The White Stripes have collided below. Name the two? Remove the actual lyrics from those two songs, then rearrange the remaining words to form the TITLE of a third White Stripes song. Which one? 'I wonder how long it will take till you can hear a piano fall sitting on the front porch of that home stomping our feet on the dirty ground Dead leaves a tiny little gift to me Thirty death notes in the letter mailbox.' Whew! Sarcastic, you're good - that's good, not 'good' InQuoteMarks : )

A: Lyrics: "Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground" and "Hotel Yorba" Title: "Death Letter"

Q: song name? i think its the white stripes...?
okay so i dont really know any of the lyrics... expect that few words with "-tion" on the end (would rhyme with "concentration") its very upbeat and has very heavy, quick drum beats and some awesome guitar with it. it sounds A LOT like the white stripes. not entirely sure though. its played every so often on my local rock station oh, and its not effect and cause. if anyone can help, thanks. =] no, not seven nation army. ahh! you're totally right, aeh216! i didnt even think of the racontuers! once my time expires, its your 10 points. =]

A: same singer as the white stripes, but it's the raconteurs - salute your solution i like that song too =]

Q: lyrics 4 a song called 7 nation army (whit stripes)?
i love there music and any one who loves the white stripes as much as i do is my friend .

A: I'm Gonna fight 'em Off A Seven Nation Army couldn't hold me back They're Gonna Rip it off Taking there Time right behind my back - And I'm Talkin' to myself at night Because I can't forget Back and forth through my mind Behind a cigarette And the message coming from my eye Says leave it alone ------- Don't want to hear about it Every single one's got a story to tell Everyone Knows about it From the Queen of England To the Hounds of Hell - And if I catch ya commin back my way I'm gonna serve it to you And that ain't what you want to hear But that's what I'll do - And the feelin' commin from my bones Says find a home ------- I'm goin' to Witchita Far from this opera for evermore I'm gonna work the straw Make the sweat drip out of every pore - And I'm Bleedin, and I'm Bleeding, and I'm Bleedin, Right before the Lord All the words are gonna bleed from me And I will sing no more - And the stings commin from my blood Tell me go back home
